Software Compatibility Notes

Because of the complex nature of benchmarks like WebMark that install multiple applications, there are some important software compatibility issues of which you need to be aware.

Technologies in WebMark 2004

Upon installation, WebMark 2004 will install customized versions of 5 plug-ins on your system. If you have previous or current versions of these plug-ins already installed, they will conflict and possibly corrupt your applications, your benchmark scores, or your entire operating system. For this reason, we require that you DO NOT have these applications installed prior to WebMark 2004 installation.
The plug-ins are:

• Adobe® Acrobat® Reader 6.0
• Macromedia Flash & Shockwave players
• Microsoft .NET framework v1.1
• SUN Java Runtime Environment v1.4.1
• Windows Media Player 9 series

 

BAPCo SYSmark 2004

BAPCo WebMark 2004 can be installed on a machine with BAPCo SYSmark 2004 installed.

BAPCo WebMark 2001

BAPCo WebMark 2001 is a stand-alone application and cannot be upgraded to WebMark 2004. WebMark 2004 cannot be installed over WebMark 2001.
