Benchmark Modes

The users can run WebMark 2004 in two modes - Online and Offline. The WebMark 2004 Offline and Online scores are different and cannot be compared. In both the Offline and the Online mode, WebMark 2004 benchmark is executed on the client machine (machine on which the WebMark 2004 client software is installed). 

Online

In the Online mode, the client being benchmarked is connected to a server and the workload content is served by the server.  

Offline

In WebMark 2004 Offline mode, all the content is present on the client being benchmarked and a server is not required for running the benchmark. The Offline mode is based on the offline browsing usage model.
