WebMark 2004 client installation

WebMark 2004 is distributed on a CD ROM that contains everything you need to quickly install and run the benchmark suite. Please READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS CAREFULLY.

Before you install the benchmark, please read the System Requirements and the Software Compatibility Notes. Also check www.bapco.com for the latest product updates, downloads and information. Prior to installation of this or any new software, you should always do a full backup of your system.

WebMark 2004 installer can be installed in the Normal mode or, the Silent mode which requires no user interaction during install time. In the Silent mode, all the default options are selected by the installer. The user can also preset the responses in the response file - setup.iss. This will require copying the whole CD to your hard disk and making changes on this file.

Note: ONLY client installation is required for running the benchmark in the OFFLINE mode. For the ONLINE mode, both the client and server need to be setup and the server should be accessible from the client via a LAN/Broadband connection. The connection between the client and the server should support HTTP protocol. Multiple clients can be run against a single WebMark 2004 server. However, the performance of the clients may be impacted.
